Successfully completing a CQI and IRCA ISO Lead Auditor certification allows you to pursue a career as a lead auditor for Management Systems within your chosen standard, for example ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001.
As a CQI and IRCA ISO 9001 Certified Lead Auditor, you can conduct first-party, second-party, and third-party audits. This means that you can work as an internal auditor within an organisation to assess its compliance with ISO standards and internal procedures (first-party audits), perform audits on behalf of a customer organisation on suppliers to evaluate their compliance with specific requirements (second-party audits), or work for a certification body to conduct independent, third-party audits to assess other organisations compliance with ISO standards.
CQI and IRCA ISO Lead Auditor certifications are internationally recognised and can open up many career opportunities in the field of auditing across various industries.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
To become a lead auditor, you need to complete a CQI and IRCA certified training course for your chosen ISO standard, pass the course assessment, and then build up the required audit experience.
Most certification bodies require a combination of formal education, relevant work experience, and a minimum number of audit days before you can register as an approved auditor.
Once you have met these requirements, you can optionally apply to become an IRCA registered certified auditor by submitting evidence of your qualifications and audit log to CQI and IRCA.
The best course depends on your career goals and the industry you work in. A CQI and IRCA certified programme is widely recognised as the gold standard, as it is accepted internationally and meets the requirements for auditor certification.
