Auditor Conversion Training:

Successfully completing a CQI and IRCA ISO Lead Auditor certification allows you to pursue a career as a lead auditor for Management Systems within your chosen standard, for example ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001.
As a CQI and IRCA ISO 9001 Certified Lead Auditor, you can conduct first-party, second-party, and third-party audits. This means that you can work as an internal auditor within an organisation to assess its compliance with ISO standards and internal procedures (first-party audits), perform audits on behalf of a customer organisation on suppliers to evaluate their compliance with specific requirements (second-party audits), or work for a certification body to conduct independent, third-party audits to assess other organisations compliance with ISO standards.

CQI and IRCA ISO Lead Auditor certifications are internationally recognised and can open up many career opportunities in the field of auditing across various industries.

CQI and IRCA Certified Auditor Conversion Course:

  • Delivery method: 1 Day Self-Paced followed by 2 Days Tutor Led Live-Workshop

Both courses provide CQI and IRCA Certified professional level qualifications, and hold equal weight in counting towards the application to become an IRCA Certified Auditor.

The 3 Day Auditor Conversion Courses are designed for those who have prior knowledge of that specific management standard principles and concepts, and the requirements of the standard, and have experience conducting ‘real world’ audits.

Additionally, in order to be eligible to attend the Auditor Conversion Course you must have successfully completed and passed a CQI and IRCA certified Lead Auditor course in another discipline, for example, the ISO 9001:2015 QMS Lead Auditor Course.

If you don’t satisfy this criteria, then you may feel more comfortable undertaking the full 5 day Lead Auditor Course instead.

To qualify as a lead auditor, you need to successfully complete a CQI and IRCA certified lead auditor course or auditor conversion course in your chosen ISO standard. If you have already completed a CQI and IRCA certified 5-day lead auditor qualification in one discipline, you are eligible to complete another standard through a shorter 3-day ‘conversion course rather than repeating the full five-day programme. Beyond the training qualification, you will also need relevant work experience and a minimum number of audit days to apply for formal IRCA certified auditor registration.

IRCA and CQI are not separate or competing organisations. The CQI (Chartered Quality Institute) and IRCA (International Register of Certificated Auditors) operate together as a single professional body. When you see a course described as “CQI and IRCA certified,” it means the training programme has been approved by this body and meets their rigorous standards for ISO auditor certification. A CQI and IRCA certified qualification is internationally recognised and is widely regarded as the benchmark for management system auditor training across all ISO standards.
